EN 23. HELDENHAFT Artist: t.s.a. (collaborations project) Title: HELDENHAFT Medium: iron, steel and stainless steel Size: 48 x 34 x 21 cm The formidable sculpture “HELDENHAFT”, which either translates to “Heroic” or “Hero Behind Bars”, provocatively plays with the ambiguity of its title. The focus is on an oversized ROMINOX® Key Tool Lion. The multi-functional key fob with 22 (tool) functions provides its users with heroic services in everyday life, at the office or on the road and has developed into a blockbuster among promotional products in a matter of months. In this sculpture, however, the hero is threatened by contrasting, artificially rusted steel rods. They have already almost completely surrounded the Key Tool. Depending on the viewing angle, the practical everyday HERO is imprisoned behind bars. However, if you just shift your perspective just a few degrees further around the sculpture, the towering everyday HERO re-emerges in full size from behind the bars. Did you notice? The large Key Tool has a veritable heart of steel, crafted from a life-size ROMINOX® Key Tool Lion made of hardened stainless steel.
